Michael has a broad commercial practice with particular emphasis in the areas of contract, equity, competition and consumer law, professional negligence and corporations. In the context of corporations law Michael’s practice focuses on members remedies, including remedies for oppression on the minority and derivative actions, director’s duties and insolvent trading.
Prior to being called to the Bar Michael practiced as a solicitor, including with Allen, Allen and Hemsley and also with the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
In addition to practicing as a full time barrister, Michael lectures in the course of Law Associations taught for the Law Extension Committee of the University of Sydney. The course has a heavy corporations component.
